PAWS of CNY has been pleased to partner with the LeMoyne College Liberty Partnership Program (LPP) and the LeMoyne College Science and Technology Entry Program (STEP) to help teach this year’s LPP students about the benefits of pet therapy work. On July 23, the students from LPP had an opportunity to observe one of PAWS of CNY’s nursing home visits at James Square Health and Rehabilitation Centre in Syracuse to see first-hand the benefits that pet therapy interactions can have on the elderly population that PAWS of CNY services.

PAWS of CNY and LPP Teach Students About Pet Therapy
PAWS of CNY is proud to partner with The LeMoyne College Liberty Partnerships Program (LPP) and The LeMoyne College Science and Technology Entry Program (STEP) this summer to educate participating students on the benefits of pet therapy work. PAWS of CNY will have the opportunity to meet with this year’s students for three separate events, the first of which was held on June 9.

On Thursday June 26 PAWS of CNY volunteers attended the Aspen Fitness Member Appreciation Day in Liverpool. As part of the day’s events, PAWS of CNY volunteers provided information to members about the benefits of pet therapy as part of a healthy lifestyle.
