Therapy Dogs Easing The Stress of Spring Travelers

While the hope of leaving snowy weather behind makes spring break travel exciting, the stress of delayed flights, long lines, and busy airports can be stressful. To help ease spring break travelers’ stress, our therapy dogs are visiting with passengers at the Syracuse Hancock International Airport.

SUNY Oswego Students Enjoy Pet Therapy from PAWS of CNY

Students at the State University of New York at Oswego have been working hard over the past several weeks studying for finals, finishing semester-end projects, and preparing for winter break. To help the students at Johnson Residence Hall enjoy some much needed rest and relaxation, a team of PAWS of CNY therapy dogs were dispatched to lend their de-stressing services.

Anyone who graduated from college remembers what it’s like to pull an all-nighter during finals week. For PAWS of CNY, our goal in attending Syracuse University’s annual night time Pancake “Breakast” event is to help give students every opportunity to rest, relax, and re-charge!

Barnes & Noble Bookfair Raises Money for PAWS of CNY

On Sunday, December 11, PAWS of CNY held a bookfair fundraiser at Barnes & Noble in Clay. PAWS of CNY volunteers offered free gift wrapping, and provided information to store visitors about their PAWS of CNY pet assisted wellness programs. Several PAWS of CNY certified therapy pets were in the store throughout the day, greeting shoppers.

Syracuse University’s Lawrinson Hall Receives Pet Therapy Visit

On Tuesday, February 7, students at Syracuse University’s Lawrinson residence hall received a much-needed visit from PAWS of CNY’s therapy dogs. Visiting university and college students during mid-terms and finals has become one of PAWS of CNY’s therapy dogs’ favorite activities. The students are always incredibly enthusiastic and appreciative of time spent with PAWS of CNY’s certified therapy dogs.
