The award competition was created to recognize the exceptional achievements of people in Central New York. It recognizes those champions who have made a significant difference in the well-being of older adults and our local community.

Wendy is nominated for the work she does with Oasis, as well as with PAWS of CNY.

PAWS of CNY Volunteers March with Pride in Annual Manlius 4th of July Parade

The volunteers of PAWS of CNY marched in the annual Manlius 4th of July Parade again this year. Participation in the annual parade by PAWS of CNY’s therapy dogs has become an annual tradition that volunteers and their pets look forward to. The opportunity to showcase its services, and show support for those who have served in the armed forces, is an honor that PAWS of CNY enjoys.

Therapy Dogs Enjoy Photoshoot at Syracuse Hancock International Airport

The PAWS of CNY volunteers visited the Hancock International Airport for a special photo shoot on Saturday, June 24. The dogs were not only there to help marketing director Jennifer Sweetland, and photographer Chuck create fun bookmarks to hand out to lucky passengers, they were also there to do what they love to do the most: put smiles on the faces of every person that was in the airport that day.

Over 100 volunteers across Onondaga, Oswego, Cortland, Madison, Oneida and Cayuga Counties bring their pets to visit residents at more than 100 facilities in Central New York, bringing smiles to more than 1,200 people every week.
