One of the most amazing things about pet therapy is the wide range of people who can benefit from this simple, and free wellness service. Children, the elderly, college students, and even adults working in a corporate environment can all benefit from a calming, loving interaction with a PAWS of CNY therapy dog. That’s why on April 12, PAWS of CNY volunteers attended a corporate wellness event at POMCO in East Syracuse with their therapy dogs.
The event was attended by Eric Dayton and his Golden Retriever, Cody Carolyn Fitzgerald and her Sheltie Tootsie, Martina St. Leger and her Labrador Mix Dory, and Audrey Sauer and her Great Dane, Cooper.
This is the third year that PAWS of CNY has been invited to participate in the POMCO wellness fair, an event that encourages employees to learn about, and spend time focusing on, health and wellness opportunities. The event is attended by a wide variety of wellness vendors in Central New York. Throughout the day, staff are encouraged to take a much-needed break for wellness, and visit with the fair’s participants, which, this year, meant getting some love and licks from PAWS of CNY therapy dogs.
