Volunteering with Your Pet
Talk to a member of PAWS of CNY on how to get involved with pet therapy. Therapy dogs provide affection and comfort to people in area hospitals and nursing homes. They help children improve their reading skills, and they de-stress college students and anxious travelers. Discover the many benefits of volunteering with your furry friend, and how they also benefit from having a job.
Book titles and appointment times will be added regularly. Reserve a time with a human book. Books will be available also for walk-in readings dependent on availability.
This program is part of a county-wide collaboration with events taking place at other libraries during the month of April.
