Baldwinsville Elementary School Students Read to Therapy Dogs

Palmer_Elementary_Baldwinsville_Pet_Therapy_Duchess_Banner
On Tuesday, March 21, elementary school students at Palmer Elementary School in Baldwinsville participated in an after school enrichment day. The afternoon allowed students to decorate cupcakes, play games, create slime, and read to PAWS of CNY’s pet therapy dogs

Therapy dogs Cody the Golden Retriever, Duchess the Australian Cattle Mix, and Aberdeen the Boston Terrier were all given the opportunity to listen to stories read aloud by expert students readers. From books about dogs, to bed time stories, to classic favorites, the students did a great job reading to PAWS of CNY’s therapy dogs, and the the dogs, in turn enjoyed belly rubs, head pats, and enlightening stories.

If you’re interested in PAWS of CNY attending your school’s enrichment day, please complete an event request form..
