College can be tough, especially for young students living away from home, and facing the rigors of challenging academic coursework. To help the students at Syracuse University enjoy some much-needed stress reduction, PAWS of CNY volunteers and their certified therapy dogs visited with students at Brewster Hall on September 20.
PAWS of CNY volunteers Sue Stepien her Bernese Mountain Dog Stella, Lisa Garofalo and her Yellow Labrador Dutch, Etsuko Campbell and her King Charles Cavalier Spaniel Allie, and Kevin Campbell and his Leonberger Chase all visited with students at the residence hall, hoping to give them a little bit of extra relaxation, and a lot of extra smiles.
The students were so excited to interact with the dogs that they even had water bowls and bottled water available for their new furry friends. Dutch Garofalo sported his Syracuse University jersey and felt right at home among the students.
The PAWS volunteers, the dogs, and the students all had a great time and the students definitely had a chance to de-stress.
