PAWS of CNY Attends Exelon Nuclear Plant Health and Wellness Fair

Oswego Pet Therapy

By Mary Beth Coniglio

One June 24 PAWS of CNY Volunteers Diane Rogers, Mary Berger, Sue Vaughn, Karin Laskowski, Audrey Sauer, Holly Besaw, Jessica Marabella and Ronna Richardson attended the Exelon Nuclear Plant Health and Wellness Fair with their certified therapy pets. The event combined the organization’s annual wellnes fair with their “Take Your Child to Work Day,” giving families an opportunity to come together to celebrate wellness, and one another.

The event was very well attended. The attendees who stopped by to learn about PAWS of CNY and its Oswego therapy dog programs all loved petting the dogs. PAWS of CNY is in the process of expanding its services in Oswego County, and the Exelon Nuclear Plan Health and Wellness Fair gave PAWS of CNY an opportunity to share information about the benefits of pet therapy with the Oswego community.

The therapy dogs loved all the attention and the families enjoyed petting and interacting with them too.
