On Saturday, March 5, PAWS volunteers and their dogs attended a wellness event at Reynolds Elementary School in Baldwinsville, New York. Kristin Russell-Miller gave a presentation to about 30 students on the importance of dog safety.
PAWS of CNY pet therapy volunteers that attended included Audrey Sauer and Cooper, Diane Rogers and Mary Berger and Sammy, Sue Stepien and Stella, Karin Laskowski and Piper, and Peggy Byrne and Ellie. After learning about pet safety, students had an opportunity to meet and greet with PAWS of CNY’s therapy dogs. After the presentations, as the families came to pick up the kids, many of the parents also had an opportunity to interact with the dogs and got some of their love. The kids really enjoyed the event and the dogs did too.
