Sponsorship Packages Available for The Soup Bone Golf Tournament

PAWS of CNY is proud to support the fourth annual Florence Peters Memorial Soup Bone Golf Tournament. This year’s Tournament will be held on Sunday, September 27 at Millstone Golf Course in Elbridge, New York, with a shotgun start at 9:00 am.

Sponsorship packages are available for local organizations interested in supporting this year’s tournament. Click here to see a list of sponsorship opportunities, which include:

  • Gold Sponsor Package: Team Entry, plus an 18 hole round of golf for 4 at two upscale courses with carts included, plus a sponsor flag
  • Gold Sponsorships: 18 holes of golf with carts at 2 upscale courses for your foursome or customers
  • Sponsor flags
  • Tee Signs

The Soup Bone Tournament first began in 1984. After a long, cold day of golf, Flo’s husband Jim returned home with friends to find that Flo had prepared a hot kettle of soup for the tired golfers. Every year following, Jim hosted a golf tournament that grew in size and participation and always ended with home made soup served by Flo. Since Flo’s passing in 2011, the event has lived on in her memory, still beginning with a morning of golf, and ending with a variety of soups for lunch. The event has continued to grow every year. On the 27th, hundreds of golfers, friends, and family will attend this year’s event.

FloPeters was a dedicated PAWS of CNY (formerly Sunshine Friends, Inc.) volunteer for many years who was beloved by her fellow volunteers. All proceeds from this year’s event will benefit Hospice of The Finger Lakes and PAWS of CNY. In 2014, the event raised over $10,000 for Hospice and PAWS of CNY.
