PAWS of CNY was proud to again attend the annual summer picnic of Advocates, Inc., a person-centered not for profit organization that empowers individuals with developmental disabilities to direct their own lives and create a vision for their future.
This is the second consecutive year that PAWS of CNY volunteers have attended the event to engage with the participants.
PAWS of CNY volunteer Allison Bene attended the event with her therapy dog, Router, a pit bull. “Router absolutely loves kids so he was certainly excited to be there,” said Bene. “[He] is the perfect height for the wheelchair-bound.” As always, PAWS of CNY’s volunteers succeeded in their mission of bringing extra sunshine and smiles to this year’s event. Thank you to the team at Advocates, Inc. for including PAWS of CNY once again in this warm and inviting picnic.
