On July 7 two PAWS of CNY volunteer teams met with summer campers at the North Syracuse YMCA.
Yvonne Rugg and her yellow lab Winter, and Audrey Sauer and her great dane Copper, talked to the students about pet therapy work, and explained what a dog needs to do in order to become a therapy dog. The students loved watching Winter and Cooper demonstrate their obedience training skills and happily made Rugg and Sauer a pile of thank you cards to show their appreciation.
Thank you to the YMCA for including PAWS of CNY in their summer programing! To find out how to bring PAWS of CNY volunteers to your next event, visit our programs page.
