On Thursday January 9th, Jessica Marabella from PAWS of CNY gave a presentation to students at Roberts Pre-K-8 School in Syracuse. Part of the Say Yes to Education Program, a non-profit foundation committed to increasing high school and college graduation rates for urban students, Roberts offers the students who attend their after school program a variety of educational guest speakers throughout the year.
The students at Roberts have been learning about dog safety. Jessica discussed with the students how to safety approach a dog, what to do if you are chased by a dog, and when you should and should not approach a dog. The students were all engaged and excited to continue learning about dog safety.
PAWS of CNY was thrilled to have the opportunity to participate in the Say Yes program, and enjoyed meeting the students at Roberts School. Thank you to Ms. Smith and Roberts School for inviting PAWS of CNY to participate!
