On Wednesday, December 7, volunteers from PAWS of CNY brought their therapy dogs to Morrisville State College’s Butcher Library for a de-stress event. Dozens of students came to the library to meet Quincy the Pug, Cody the Golden Retriever and Aberdeen the Boston Terrier.
“This is just what I needed!” said one student.
“I’m so happy now!” said another.
“I was crying 30 minutes ago and now I feel so much better!” cried a third.
PAWS of CNY’s college de-stress program formed several years ago to give students some comfort, smiles, and companionship. Whether their stress is caused by the pressure of finals, the sadness of missing home, or just the hustle of every day life, PAWS of CNY is pleased to have an opportunity to bring smiles, even if only temporarily.
